Twice Ive gone on separate nights, ordered a beer, and been brought the wrong beverage back. They definitely are targeting a very specific, one-sided 16yo-24yo crowd here and thats pretty much it. Im not very fond of the atmosphere of Rawkus. That kind of support for the Colorado community speaks loudly as business. A prominent reason to why I like this venue is that they book local Colorado DJs as openers for EDM shows. Tables with seats if you want to sit down. Two pool tables located in back, so you can carry out conversations without noise distractions. They have a bar with reasonably priced drinks. I enjoy their sound system and lasers that they have.
It simply mitigates anything that can endanger people in crowd, making people feel safer thus more comfortable. I actually appreciate how thorough the security is upon entrance. They have plenty of parking space, which makes it extremely convenient. I definitely enjoyed myself the times I have been to Rawkus. either way that should be proof of how terrible the people running this club truly are. And yeah, Im sure that this comment will be responded to by management just so they can either leave a backhanded or hollow apology/complement. 1 mile to go to either Copperhead Road Bar & Nightclub or Club Q (a gay bar and nightclub) Which are both one thousand times better than anything Rawkus could ever offer.Heed my warning. But, the only way that will happen is if less stupid teens stop going to this botched club and walk the extra. Bottom line, this night club is run by rock stupid assholes who try and set you up for something that you didnt do, just to make you mad and make security have an excuse to call the police on you. And that was after i payed $20 to get in and i didnt get a refund. so, I got kicked out for being near a fight at a night club. I tell security that I had nothing to do with the fight but, they didnt believe me and told me that if I dont leave then they would call the cops on me for causing trouble. I was minding my business when a few people started getting into a fight just a few feet away from me and as I was moving away, security walks in, breaks up the fight and throws me out too. All while the owner, Chris Copeland, supervised the beating. Then handcuff her and proceed to continue to assault her because this business has no security cameras, so no one will ever see the evidence of their crimes. Apparently, filming their business while standing 15 feet from their property is reason enough for a 300 pound bouncer to tackle a small female to the concrete and then slam her head into the ground. As soon as the bouncers saw me trying to do this, they took my phone from my hands. I pulled my phone from my back pocket while handcuffed, and was about to film them assaulting my girlfriend. My girlfriend was trying to film the incident and they did not appreciate her filming their crimes so she was tackled and assaulted as well. They decided to tackle me when I was four steps out the door walking towards my car and continued to beat and choke me for 15 minutes, while I was handcuffed, before the police finally arrived. I never threatened anyone or acted violently. I picked it up and proceeded to calmly leave as originally instructed. He left it on the counter and started to walk away. I get to the door, and he said he changed his mind and he was keeping it. He said if I walked with him to the door, he would give it back. A large black bouncer told me to see it, and then said it was a weed vape pen and not allowed in Rawkus. My girlfriend and I have to keep THC on us as a rescue for our history of seizures. I had a vape pen in my possession, never used it one time inside their business. This past weekend, on 6/24/16 the bouncers at Rawkus brutally assaulted my girlfriend and I while they had us handcuffed.
